Working on

Several active hardware documentation projects at Zebra Technologies, including new product releases. I'm continuing to refine the internal authoring guide I overhauled last year — a living document is never really finished.

Learning

• Going deeper into DITA best practices and advanced structured authoring patterns — there's always more nuance than you initially think.
• Exploring how docs-as-code workflows can be applied more broadly across documentation pipelines, especially for software products.

Thinking about

The gap between documentation that is technically accurate and documentation that is actually useful. Those are not the same thing, and most teams optimize for the wrong one.

Outside work

Planning the next trip, logging miles on the trails, and specifying a new PC build I've been sitting on for months. I'm also trying to be more intentional about photography — shooting less, thinking more.
